Heidelberg MUN Society
Who we are: Heidelberg MUN Society is an initiative created and organized by students from all subjects at the Ruperto-Carola University in Heidelberg. Its main goal is to promote the main principles of the United Nations and to inspire students to develop solutions for various problems with world relevance.
What we do Delegates are able to develop their research, public speaking and negotiating skills through our weekly sessions, workshops and chair training. Here you will have the chance to join delegations to national and international MUN conferences such as Cambridge, Hamburg, Prague or Barcelona. The sessions are also a great way to practice your English as this is the main working language of this society.
What is MUN? Model United Nations (MUN) is a simulation of the United Nations, where students take on the role of a delegate of a member states to represent its interests in discussions on current world issues. The conferences usually consist of three to four days of debates, writing and passing of a resolution. And of course, nightly social events in which you get to meet fellow delegates from all over the world.
How do I get involved? Drop by one of our weekly MUN sessions every wednesday at 8pm at the Campus Bergheim, room 02.023. You can also contact us (info@hdmun.org), check out our homepage or like us on facebook:
